The Guyana Re-migrants Association is working towards the publication of the terms of reference under which the organisation will operate.

This and other issues were the focus of the agenda at a regular meeting of the body held on May 5, according to a press release from the organisation.

Among the other subjects said to have been discussed were a location for an operating and contact office, and the acquisition of current re-migrant booklets prepared by government as a guide to prospective returnees.

Other programmes planned for the coming year include the processing of membership applications and the utilisation of various skills on relevant advisory sub-committees for both locals and returning residents needing specialised advice or assistance, and the holding of a formal ball to mark the successful launching of the association. This event is scheduled for August 5, at Le Meridien Pegasus.
