Dear Editor,

Guyana has never in my experience been so brilliantly and tastefully lit up as over this present season, thanks to the combined efforts of the Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Rastas, the whole spectrum, the whole nation independently and yet in consort, working towards the common goal of making our surroundings cleaner, better and brighter.

What a pity this feeling of oneness will die when the lights go out and once again the nation will splinter into its several ethnic, religious and political selfish pieces.
