International Boxing Federation number 14 ranked junior lightweight Gary St Clair continued his good showing in his adopted home of Australia with a first round knock out of Reo Saragih in Melborne on Saturday.
The Guyanese took his record to 25-3-2 with 12 KOs following the victory over the Indonesian. The fight was one of several on the undercard of the Kostya Tzysu versus Jesse James Leija card.
St Clair’s three losses came at the hands of Diego Corrales, Vivian Harris and Leonard Dorin.
The dapper fighter has never been knocked out and was the leading sparring partner of Tzsyu, the undisputed world junior welterweight champion, leading up to the fight against Leija.
St Clair has been campaigning in Australia since leaving Guyana over a year ago.
