THE 48-year-old man who allegedly kissed and fondled two nine-year-old girls at his Bagotstown home is likely to be charged with two counts of indecent assault.

Police sources say that the man, who was released on $40,000 station bail, is scheduled to appear in court today.

The suspect was arrested on Monday after the two girls, who attend lessons at the man’s home, accused the man of making indecent approaches to them.

One of the girls claimed that she was passing the man’s home when he called her into his kitchen and kissed her.

The other girl alleged that she was kissed and fondled in a garage after she went to the suspect’s home to pay her lessons fees.

A female relative keeps lessons in the bottom flat of the man’s home.

Ranks at the Providence Police Station have taken statements from both girls.

Some residents have reputedly stopped sending their children to classes at the suspect’s home ever since the reports were made.
