Rayon Gibson, 21, is now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he attempted to end his life.

Gibson, a resident of Strathspey, East Coast Demerara, told this newspaper that at around 8:00 hours yesterday he ingested a dose of gramoxone, a deadly insecticide for which there is no antidote.

When asked what led him to commit the act, Gibson said that he was not having problems with anybody but he was just fed up with life’s obstacles.

“Sometimes when you sit down and look at yuh life and yuh see that yuh can’t mek it, all yuh gat fu do is end yuh life. I went on the road and do it so that nobody coulda stop me ’cause I want fu dead. I fed up with life.” Gibson added, “Dem tell me that when you drink gramoxone yuh does only live fuh five days and that is what I want.”
