A Taste of Guyana



Peanut Punch

Serves 4

10 tablespoons peanut butter
4 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
10 cubes ice

Place all ingredients except the ice cubes in a saucepan and heat over low flame, stirring constantly until the peanut butter melts. Remove from heat and cool. Place in an electric blender with the ice and blend until the ice is crushed. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
