Dear friends,
On a recent trip to Vancouver B.C., Mr. Andrew Bishop of the presidential Secreteriat has initated a proposal to receive donated computers which will be distributed to Schools in Guyana. This initiative will expose Guynanese children to technology that will better prepare them for the twenty first century.
In this regards we urge you, our fellow Guyanese and friends to support this cause. Computers that are obsolete in North America will be invaluable tools for our brothers and sisters back home. While most computers will be useful in Guyana, our first choice will be IBM compatible, 286 and above, Macs will also be okay. At this time Mr. Jeff Da Silva, consulate General in Toronto, has graciously agreed to receive and ship your donations through Guyana Airways Corporations as space permits. Direct shipments can also be made to:
Office of the President
Attn: Mr. Navin Chandarpal
