GEORGETOWN -- Guyana and the United States signed a ``hot pursuit'' agreement Friday, opening the skies above Guyana to U.S. planes pursuing suspected drug traffickers.
In signing the pact, Guyana became the tenth Caribbean Community state to sign a drug interdiction agreement with Washington.
``This agreement is a confirmation of the new realities and manifestations by which traffickers are conducting their activities,'' Foreign Minister Clement Rohee said at the signing ceremony.
