Dear Editor,

Since the introduction of the mini-bus, sex crimes against minor females have surged. Our female children are under siege by preying pedophiles and I urge the police to create an atmosphere so that these crimes can be reported for prosecution.

I have recalled countless stories of school girls being coerced and in may instances raped by out of control bus drivers/conductors. These criminal elements are without shame when they brag about their conquest.

Please, let us stop the wanton abuse of our girl children so that they may grow up to lead productive lives. Also, I urge the public to report any suspicious interaction to the authorities as you travel in these buses. We need to strengthen our laws against this crime, so it serves as a deterrent.
