CONDUCTOR Michael Exeter was fined $15,000 yesterday for overloading his minibus the day after 12 people died in this country's worst road accident.
Magistrate Dawn Holder-Alert imposed the penalty on him for the March 7 offence.
Corporal Suzette Cornette, prosecuting, said there were eight extra passengers in BGG 7463 which is registered as a 15-seater.
The vehicle was proceeding along Avenue of the Republic, Georgetown, when a Police patrol stopped it and counted 23 commuters inside, the Prosecutor said.
