NBIC Phagwah Mela in Essequibo Sunday Guyana Chronicle March 22, 2000 THE Essequibo branch of National Bank of Industry and Commerce Limited (NBIC) will be hosting its second annual Phagwah Mela on Sunday, March 26, at Anna Regina Community Centre ground, from 10:00 hours. The sponsors said, in a release, that the event will be much bigger this year, with singing, dancing and other features to celebrate the festival in grand style. The statement said top officials from the bank and the Indian High Commission in Georgetown are expected to join Essequibians in the celebrations.
