Traffic cops to deal with drivers who fail to renew insurance

A Police statement yesterday said that it was recently discovered that some motorists are breaching the Traffic Laws by failing to renew their motor vehicle insurance policies, when these policies become due.
The statement also said that ranks of the Police Traffic Department will be dealing severely with persons caught without valid motor vehicle insurance policies.
30 arrested for traffic offences
THIRTY persons were arrested Wednesday evening during a traffic exercise conducted by members of the Guyana Police Force Traffic Department along the Mabura Road.
A Police statement yesterday said 15 of those persons were arrested for the offence of speeding.
