THOUSANDS of Guyanese will be glued to their television sets tonight to watch Andrew `Sixheads' Lewis attempt to become the first Guyanese boxer to hold a world title.
Among those will be friends and family in Lewis's hometown, Albouystown, who are expected to gather on Independence Boulevard, between Barr and Albouys Streets, around four television sets.
The people behind this event are Lewis's longtime friend Jimmy Ramnarayan and Frampton Chow who said that the 20-inch television sets will be arranged in a circle so all can gather around. Ramnarayan said fans need not bother about the weather since the televisions will be under a big tent.
Expected to be prominent among the patrons is President Bharrat Jagdeo, who has indicated he will be watching the fight from Independence Boulevard.
Ramnarayan also said there will be an all-night celebration after the fight.
