CONTROVERSIAL television talk show host, Mr. Mark Benschop and NBTV Channel 9 have parted company because the station said he did not comply with its rules and regulations.

In a press release yesterday, the station said it has always been amenable to working with Benschop and "we continue to be amenable to working" with him.

However, for about one-and-a-half months, the management had requested among other things, that Benschop furnish the manager a profile of his programme content, it said.

This would have been in keeping with proper management of the channel, the release said.

NBTV 9 said he did not comply with these basic rules and regulations.

Management had several meetings with him regarding this matter, yet he did not comply, the station added.

"Unfortunately we parted company. As we told him when we parted, we only wish him well and that he has God's blessings", it said.
