"The time has come for us to awake from our slumber and become actively involved in all spheres of development so that we can remove the hopelessness that prevails in our town, and also reduce considerably the unemployment that is haunting our town," the Mayor declared.
He called on the management of Sunrise Tours to ensure that a tourist system is put in place that is reliable and efficient so that there will be no complaints by the visitors.
Also, addressing the opening ceremony was Regional Executive Officer, Region Ten Mr. Basil Benn, PPP/Civic Region Ten Chairman, Mr. Vanburne Brown, Linden businesswoman, Ms. V. Munroe, manager of Nu-Tec and others.
