Muslim children attend moral upliftment retreat
Three hundred Muslim children from around the country are participating in a week-long retreat from April 20-25 organised by the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG). The sessions, being held in Berbice, Demerara and Essequibo will include lectures on religious studies, career guidance, narcotics and drug abuse, public speaking, obedience to parents and dealing with peer pressure. The theme of the retreat is 'Moral Upliftment of Youth and their Role in the Process of Development of their Society'.
