Guyana's latest sports hero Andrew `Sixhead' Lewis promises his compatriots a big celebration tonight when he takes the ring for his second defence of the World Boxing Association title in Los Angeles, United States.

Yesterday he predicted a knockout win over Nicaraguan Ricardo Mayorga, but the Latin American showed he would not awed by the Guyanese's words and formidable record.

At their final press briefing yesterday, Lewis predicted an early stoppage in his favour to better the points decision he managed over Larry Marks in his first title defence, after emphatically stopping former champ James Page to win the belt.

However, Mayorga responded by predicting the fastest knockout of the night in the multi bout card to be held at the basketball famous Staple Centre.

Earlier yesterday Lewis, who will be aiming to top up his 21-win record with his 20th knockout, weighed 147 pounds to Mayorga's 146.7.

Guyana's first ever world champion is promoted by Bob Arum while Mayorga's, promoter is Arum's bitter rival Don King.

The Nicaraguan has won 22 fights with three losses and a draw and the bout will be the second supporting fight to Roy Jones' defence of his light heavyweight title and Eric Morales clash with Injin Chi.
