Waterchris Ltd is to resume catering for GA 2000's North American flights from Monday, according to a release from the airline's public relations consultants, Public Communications Consultants Ltd (PCCL).

The PCCL release also announced the appointment of Elizabeth Wells as GA 2000's catering consultant. The release said that Wells "will be working closely with its local catering service to ensure international standards are maintained and the airline's passengers enjoy meals which cater to both Guyanese and international tastes."

Waterchris' contract was suspended in August, a couple of weeks after GA 2000 began its operations to New York. However, at the time, GA 2000's Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Mekdeci, had said that the contract could be activated once Waterchris worked with the airline to improve its services in a number of areas.

During the suspension of Waterchris' contract, GA 2000's catering services were provided by a North American company.

Wells was the first flight attendant of Guyana Airways Corporation, the predecessor company of GA 2000. She was its chief cabin attendant for over ten years and also served as its flight services manager.
