This would make my Mash
Dear Editor,
As our country prepares to celebrate our 32nd anniversary as a republic with our traditional Mashramani celebration I wish to ask if a few things are possible.
Yours faithfully,

(1) Is it possible for our traditional flag raising ceremony to return to the National Park with its colourful pomp and ceremony?
(2) Is it possible for both President Bharrat Jagdeo and Opposition Leader Mr Desmond Hoyte to address the flag raising ceremony on their views for a better Guyana and not attack each other?
(3) Is it possible for supporters of the PPP/C and the PNC/Reform to sit next to each other in the National Park and cheer each other's leader along?
(4) Is it possible for the PNC/R Mash Revellers to enter the National Park on the 23rd of February?
(5) Is it possible for the PPP/C to have a band on the road on Mash day?
Mr. Editor, if these few things can happen then I would say that we are indeed making an effort to unite our country and Mashramani 2002 will be truly colourful and true.
