Way cleared for Donna McKinnon inquest
The mother of seven was shot and killed in Robb Street during protest demonstrations in Georgetown following the March general elections.
The February 21 grant, resulting from an application by Soffina Solomon, directs the Commissioner of Police to forthwith cause a report, relating to the unnatural death of McKinnon, to be made to the Chief Magistrate in accordance with the Coroner’s Act.
The Chief Justice further ordered that the Chief Magistrate hold the inquiry upon receipt of the report.
