Just days after thumping American Michael Clarke to win the International Boxing Association (IBA) Inter Continental junior welterweight title, Guyanese `Vicious' Vivian Harris received the good news that his next fight will be for another title.

Back home on a two-week holiday the 23-year-old Harris revealed that he will fight IBA champion Diobelys Hurtado late in May. The hard-hitting Harris said that although details of the championship bout are at present sketchy, he welcomed the news knowing that it is another way of putting Guyana bigger on the sporting map of the world.

"We can look at this as stepping stone to bigger things. After this I can go after the more recognised titles," Harris said.

Hurtado is a seasoned campaigner who has fought the likes of former world champion Pernell Whitaker (lost by 11th round KO in January 1997) and undisputed world junior welterweight champion Kosta Tszyu (lost by fifth round KO in November 1998).

Harris has only been defeated once in 22 fights and has a high percentage of knockouts.
