NETBALL: The National Under-16 Netball squad, shortlisted to 14 players, on Saturday will intensify their training sessions. The team under the watchful eyes of a panel of coaches, including Ms. Lavern Fraser-Thomas will have lessons as per guide:
Friday: 15:30 hrs to 18:00 hrs; Saturday: 06:00 hrs to 09:00 hrs and 15:30 hrs to 18:00 hrs; and Sunday: 15:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs.
The Cliff Anderson Sports Hall Tarmac will be utilised.
Persons With Disabilities: The Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport Lawn will be used on Wednesday to conduct sessions in ‘Bocce’ for the elderly. Sessions will run from 09:30 hrs to 11:30 hrs and Sports Organiser Wilton Spencer will be in charge.
WINDBALLl CRICKET: Action in the Christmas Term Windball Cricket Championships for Primary boys and girls and Secondary girls will continue in the following areas as per schedule.
Today: Lusignan - Primary boys and girls and Wednesday, Leguan - Primary boys and girls.
On Saturday, the play-offs in the Secondary girls Carib Malta-sponsored tournament will commence at 13:00 hrs at the National Gymnasium. Troy Cadogan, Brands Products Manager of Ansa McAl will be on hand to witness proceedings while Sports Organiser Allister Munroe will be conducting the show.
TABLE TENNIS: Senior and Junior Table Tennis players will continue training at the Guyana Table Tennis Association's Benab in the National Park under the guidance of coach Sydney Christophe and Linden Johnson.
Sessions are conducted as per guide:
06:00 hrs to 07:30 hrs for Seniors, 15:30 hrs to 17:30 hrs for Juniors, and 17:30 hrs to 19:00 hrs for Seniors.
