Goodluck, Persaud outstanding at Bisley

Guyana's two man-team currently contesting the Queen's Golden Jubilee Fullbore Rifle Shooting competition in England are keeping the Golden Arrowhead aloft in the individual category which got underway on Friday last.
According to a release from the Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA), Ransford Goodluck and Mahendra Persaud have been performing exceedingly well despite the wet, cold and windy conditions at Bisley, England.
Reports from team manager, Assistant Commissioner of Police Paul Slowe indicate that the two marksmen have been regular visitors to the prize rostrum. In the Daily Telegraph shoot over 600 yards, Persaud scored 75 points with seven V-Bulls while Goodluck scored 74 points with seven V's.
In Saturday's aggregate shoot, Persaud scored 173 points with 19 V's from a possible 175 points. He registered 49 points with five V's at the 300-yard range, 75 points with seven V's at the 600-yard range and 49 points with seven V's at the 1000-yard range. Goodluck on the other hand shot 49 points with six V's at the 300-yard range, 74 points with seven V's at the 600-yard range and 46 points with five V's at the 1000-yard range, for a total 169 points with 18 V's.
In Sunday's aggregate, Goodluck shot 170 points with 11 V's from a possible 175 points. He shot 73 points with five V's at the 500-yard range, 50 points with five V's at the 900-yard range and 47 points with one V at the 600-yard range.
In the Conan Doyle 900-yard competition, Goodluck returned 49 points with seven V's while in the Wimbledon shoot over 600 yards, he registered 49 points with six V's.
In the Century shoot, Goodluck shot 50 points with seven V's over the 500-yard range and 49 points with six V's over the 600-yard range, for a total 99 points with 12 V's from a possible 100 points.
In the Clement Smith aggregate, Persaud recorded 49 points with five V's over the Donegall 300-yard range, 75 points with seven V's over the Daily Telegraph 600-yard range and 48 points with three V's over the Alexandra 600-yard range to end with 172 points with 15 V's.
For the weekend aggregate, Persaud recorded 49 points with five V's at the Donegal 300-yard range, 49 points with seven V's at the Lovell 1000-yard range, 76 points with seven V's at the Daily Telegraph 600-yard range, 73 points with five V's at the Daily Mail 500-yard range, 47 points with five V's at the Duke of Cambridge 900-yard range and 48 points with three V's at the Alexandra 600-yard range.
For the Times shoot over 300 yards, Persaud registered a possible 50 points with four V's.
The Tucker aggregate saw Persaud registering 96 points with 12 V's at the Century 500 and 600-yard ranges, 48 points with seven V's at the Admiral Hutton 900-yard range, 49 points with five V's at the Donegal 300-yard range and 49 points with seven V's at the Lovell 1000-yard range, for a total 242 points with 31 V's.
