After succeeding, Wednesday, in blocking Ganesh Nauth also known as Bhaijnauth and another man named only as Cadogan from leaving the country, Grey is seeking $50M damages from the duo.
Although the injunction to restrain Nauth and Cadogan was granted late Wednesday afternoon, by Chief Justice Carl Singh, a Supreme Court marshal had, up to press time, only succeeded in serving it on the Senior Immigration Officer and not the Chief Immigration Officer.
The documentation could not be served on Nauth and Cadogan because their whereabouts were unknown and the Police have refused to disclose their place of abode, the plaintiff said.
In his affidavit supporting the March 5 claim, Grey, of Lot 2201 Layou Street, North Ruimveldt, cited the two defendants, jointly and severally, for trespass, wrongful arrest and detention on Sheriff Street, Section’K’ Campbellville, also in Georgetown, on or about March 1, the date on which he and others, including the deceased, were shot at in their vehicle.
