In an eight-round heavyweight match-up, Andre ‘Tombstone’ Purlette improved to 35-1 (32) with a second round knockout of Wade Lewis 11-6 (10).
The lighter and quicker Purlette consistently beat the heavier Lewis to the punch. Purlette set Lewis up with some hard lefts to the body followed by solid rights to the head in the first.
Purlette hurt Lewis in the second round and finished him off with a left uppercut and a right hook to the chin that sent Lewis practically through the ropes.
Referee James Warring counted out Lewis at the end of the round that recorded the knockout at three minutes of the second round. (Fightnews
