According to club president Neil Singh, the dressing rooms for both teams have improved to such an extent that dining rooms have been built offering the players more comfort when taking their lunch. The umpires’ room has also been upgraded to internationally accepted standards.
Singh also said structural work was undertaken at the Clive Lloyd stand, while repair work has been carried out to the lavatory facilities around the ground. While admitting that the Bourda sward will not be the lush green one because of the prolonged dry spell, Singh expressed thanks to the Guyana Fire Service for spraying the ground on a daily basis.
He ended by saying that Bourda is ready for tomorrow’s first Test and he is urging fans to come out in full force to witness the game.
