One week after he was brutally gunned down in front of the Arapaima Restaurant on Main Street, TSU Constable Mark Latour was yesterday laid to rest.
He was the first of four law enforcement agents killed since the start of the year and up to yesterday a senior police source said the force had no leads in the investigations.
The police have launched a hunt for a lone gunman who opened fire from within the Arapaima Restaurant at the corner of Main and Quamina Streets on the night of January 1, killing the police constable.
The 29-year-old Latour was the 13th policemen to be killed since April 2 when gunmen began deliberately targeting members of the Police Force. His superiors have since pledged that no effort would be spared to bring Latour’s killer to justice.
Latour has left to mourn his mother, Annie Sutherland, two sisters and a brother.
