Exchange rates for the US dollar and the pound sterling varied significantly from bank to bank, with draft transactions attracting rates markedly higher than notes.

On Thursday, Stabroek News visited the foreign exchange sections of various commercial banks and a few non-bank cambios in Georgetown. The rates were as tabulated below:
