Police are in possession of the tapes from the surveillance cameras at the Buxton gas station where owner Brian Hamilton was murdered last Friday.

The 35-year-old father of one was shot and killed by one or more gunmen as he sat in the office of his Public Road gas station.

According to a death announcement in yesterday's newspaper his funeral will take place at St Andrew's Kirk, Avenue of the Republic and Brickdam. A special viewing will take place at Hamilton's Service Station prior to the funeral service.

A police press release has said that a videotape was handed over to the police by attorney-at-law Nigel Hughes, counsel for the relatives of the deceased, at 8:35 am yesterday. It is currently being examined.

The police had earlier issued a release refuting a report that the tape had already been handed over.

The tape is expected to assist the police in their investigation since the man's father had said that the cameras were on.
