Former World Boxing Association welterweight champion Andrew `Sixhead' Lewis has been dropped from the World Boxing Association (WBA) top 10 welterweight fighters. Lewis plunged to number 12 in the WBA's latest ratings
The WBA followed on the heels of the World Boxing Organisation which recently booted Lewis from its top 15. Lewis' number five place in the WBA has been taken by Vernon Forrest, also a former champion.
Lewis is not rated by the World Boxing Council (WBC) or the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
Meanwhile, Lewis' manager Nelson Fernandez disclosed that the former champion has returned home to Guyana. Fernandez said that `The Albouystown Cyclone' is "off" until May and will have a fight in June.
The bout will be televised live Fernandez said. Lewis was the first representative from Guyana to win a world title when he knocked out James Page in February of 2001. (Steve Ninvalle)
