Miss Guyana/Universe 2003, Leanna Damond will be leaving Guyana tomorrow for the USA on a ten-day shopping spree.
Franchise owner, Odinga Lumumba on Wednesday said that the queen is also expected to work on her hair and skin tone while in the United States.
Damond, who was crowned Miss Guyana/Universe on February 22, has been working with US trainer, Omarosa Stalwart on her interview skills and would be continuing this while in the US.
She has also been working with Robert Dover, who was responsible for training the contestants in the February pageant.
Lumumba said that Damond would be visiting a fashion house which had promised her a number of cocktail dresses.
The queen will be given two evening gowns for the big night in Panama this month, one designed locally and the other by overseas-based Guyanese, Roger Gary.
Damond is expected to return to Guyana on May 12 and then will travel to Panama on May 16 where she would be vying for the coveted Miss Universe crown.
Meanwhile, Lumumba said that the next pageant was slated for December and he had already started to receive applications from prospective contestants.
