Laparkan honours promise to Andrew “six-head” Lewis

The Laparkan Group of Companies yesterday honoured its promise to Guyana’s first World Boxing champion Andrew “six-head” Lewis.
The group had undertaken to furnish the new home of the boxer when it was completed.
Vibert Parvatan executive director of the company gave welcoming remarks and wished the boxer all the best.
Minister of Culture Youth & Sport Gail Teixeira also gave brief remarks at the ceremony.
Avinash Bhagwandin managing director of the group made the presentations on behalf of the company.
The former world champion expressed his thanks to Laparkan at the simple but significnt event.
Lewis received a number of household items.
These were one 3-seater Olde english suite, one wooden centre table, one T.V cabinet, two 4/16 spindle beds, two 4/16 foam mattresses, one 5-piece dinette set, one medium carpet, two small vanities, one single wardrobe, one 4-burner Esmalte gas stove, one double-door Daewoo refrigerator, one GE microwave oven, one Sharp VCR, one 20” Panasonic TV, one Sharp mini stereo set, two Temper fans, one HB blender and one Continental blender.
