Of the eleven Chinese who were quarantined at the Georgetown Public Hospital by the Ministry of Health as a precaution against the Severe Respiratory Acute Syndrome (SARS), only two are still being held.
A health official yesterday said that nine others had been allowed to go home as they had developed no symptoms of the disease and the remaining two would also be allowed to leave soon.
The persons were kept at the hospital after arriving at the Timehri airport after travelling in areas of China which is one of the world's most affected countries.
The official said that any person travelling from an affected area would likely be quarantined at the hospital which has a ward for suspected cases.
And from today the ministry, through the airlines, will be distributing health forms to passengers for them to fill out giving an indication of their recent travel history.
