THE five-member jury will deliberate next Monday, July 28, on how, when, where and in what manner the notorious bandit Linden London alias ‘Blackie’ and his female companion, Rhonda Forde, met their deaths.
The jurors, who sat with Coroner Melissa Robertson-Ogle and heard testimony from 23 witnesses, are also to say who, if anyone, was criminally concerned with the deaths.
London and Forde were killed during a joint Police/Army operation at Toucan Suites, Eccles, East Bank Demerara, on February 9, 2000.
During the inquest, which began last year, evidence was taken from Police, Guyana Defence Force (GDF) and civilian personnel, including yesterday, when the last witness, Assistant Superintendent of Police Phillip Armstrong testified.
He confirmed that a St Lucian passport was found at Toucan Suites and lodged in the Property Room of Ruimveldt Police Station.
But the document, issued to Adrian Fitzroy Armstrong, cannot be found and there is no record of it being uplifted although it was taken for fingerprint testing at Police Headquarters, Eve Leary, Georgetown, the witness stated.
