The Indian Arrival Committee (IAC) says it will be making submissions to the Disciplined Forces Commis-sion with particular emphasis on the “methods and processes of achieving greater ethnic balance” in the disciplined forces.
The IAC said in a release that prior to the submissions to the Commission it will hold four public consultations, targeting the Indo-Guyanese population across the country.
According to the release, the venues and schedule of the consultations are: Corriverton Civic Centre, tomorrow at 11:00 am; the LBI Community Centre, July 23, at 4:30 pm; Diamond Community Centre, East Bank Demerara, July 30 at 4:30 pm; and the Anna Regina Town Hall, August 1, at 9:30 am.
The release said further that these consultations are intended to solicit the views of Indo-Guyanese on balancing the security forces so that IAC submissions can be truly reflective of their concerns.
