Police photographer cross-examined by defence in Yohance Douglas PI

The preliminary inquiry into the death of Yohance Douglas resumed yesterday before Acting Chief Magistrate Juliet Holder-Allen.
Prosecution witness Oneil King yesterday concluded his evidence in chief and was crossed-examined by defence counsel Compton Richardson. Seventeen-year-old King who was among those in the car at the time of the incident had testified at the last hearing.
The prosecution yesterday called police photographer Patrick Carter to the stand. Carter had photographed the car the boys were driving that day. He was later cross-examined by Richardson.
Senior counsel Bernard De Santos who was absent at yesterday’s hearing is set to cross-examine Carter when the inquiry continues on September 16.
Police officers Gerald Alonzo and Mahendra Baijnauth were jointly charged on March 28 with the unlawful murder of Douglas, a University of Guyana (UG) student.
