Former WBA welterweight champion Andrew `Sixhead’ Lewis should return to the ring in November, his manager Nelson Fernandez announced recently.
Lewis has not fought since going down to WBO champion Antonio Margarito on February 8 making it the second longest spell of inactivity since he won the WBA title.
“I spoke to him and he said he was travelling back home to renew his visa and be back within two weeks to get ready for a fight in early November.
The precise date of the fight will be determined by when Lewis returns to the USA. At present Lewis, who will turn 33 on December 14, is rated number 10 by the WBA
Lewis is the first representative of this country to win a world title and sparked wild celebration throughout Guyana after defeating James Page to win the WBA crown in February 2001. (Steve Ninvalle)
