Website up for Globe Trust

Depositors and investors of Globe Trust and Investment Company Limited (GTICL) can now access the company through a new website at www.gticl.com.
According to a press release, Administrator of the entity, Conrad Plummer, says that access to information will now be made easier with the site
. “The site will provide you with an historical sequence of events, the current status of Globe Trust, the procedures being followed and answers to questions most commonly asked by depositors and investors.” Plummer says persons can still contact the office for a printed copy of the information if the site does not specifically answer all their questions or if they do not have access to the site.
The Bank of Guyana took over Globe Trust’s operations last year after it ran into financial trouble. Audited reports revealed the bank lost $267M in 2000.
