The computer systems at the Guyana Lottery Company (GLC) were finally returned to working order yesterday after having suffered what was described as a minor breakdown two days ago.

During this period none of its games including its latest addition, “Play De Dream” could be played resulting in losses amounting to an undisclosed sum.

Contacted yesterday GLC General Manager, Tracy Lewis said that technicians were able to rectify the glitch late Tuesday night nearly two days after it went down.

According to Lewis, the glitch, which the company suspects resulted from the addition of the software for the new game, was fixed in collaboration with its offices in Canada which sent the relevant information.

“We could not sell any tickets for any of the games,” Lewis lamented while expressing relief that the problem seemed to be at an end.
