Trading on the stock exchange was light yesterday with only five trades being made for a total value of $68,550.
Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) saw 9,000 shares traded at $6.50 for a total value of $58,500 while Banks DIH Limited had one trade of 1,500 shares at $6.70.
Trading took place at the offices of the Guyana Association of Securities Companies and Intermediaries Inc. (GASCI), which had its official launching last Thursday. The low level of activity will be worrying for the exchange which wants to become self-sustaining in the near future.
