Trading activity on the stock exchange picked up slightly yesterday with revenues of $997,138 from 137,889 shares but was confined to only three companies.
Demerara Distillers Ltd (DDL) saw $619,438 worth of shares trading at between $6.40 and $6.50. Banks DIH Ltd had $233,000 of shares traded ranging from $6.20 to $6.30.
Shares in Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry’s (GBTI) traded at prices ranging from $27.50 to $30.
Shares on offer for the next trading session are 4,772,000 of Banks DIH Ltd at a best offer (best price at which one is prepared to sell) of $6.30 per share; 358,000 of DDL at a best offer of $6.50 per share; 134,000 of the National Bank of Industry and Commerce (NBIC) at a best offer of $13 per share; 95,000 of the Guyana Stockfeeds Inc. at a best offer of $13.50; 11,000 of Sterling Products Ltd at a best offer of $60 and 10,000 of GBTI at a best offer of $30.
Share bids remaining are 630,000 shares of Demerara Bank Ltd at a best bid (best price at which one is prepared to buy) of $1.30 per share; 111,000 shares of Citizens Bank Guyana Inc at a best bid of $12 per share; 67,000 of DDL at a best bid of $6; 41,000 of the Demerara Tobacco Company at a best bid of $44; 2,000 of Banks DIH Ltd at a best bid of $6 per share; 10,000 of GBTI at a best bid of $25; 10,000 of Sterling Products Ltd at a best bid of $15; and 5,000 of NBIC at a best bid of $12 per share.
