New Amsterdam Hospital lacks the services of specialists

Dear Editor,
It is with great concern that I write about the New Amsterdam hospital. All is not well! The hospital is without the services of an Eye Specialist/Surgeon, they resigned since months ago and there have been no replacements.
Apart from the Cuban Doctors, who are G.M.Os do we have other specialists e.g. Heart, Ear, Nose and Throat?
What about the administration - is there an Administrator/Medical Superintendent? Is the hospital being run by an independent health authority, with a Chief Executive and Finance Officers. What is the role of the RHO?
The institution has been without proper water facilities for a very long time now, on many occasions the nurses have to fetch water to the wards. The X-Ray machine and the ECG machine are not working.
The poor people, who can't afford the services at the hospital, with difficulty have to pay a lot of money to see private doctors.
Yours faithfully,

We sent a copy of this letter to Dr Vishwa Mahadeo, the Chief Health Officer of the New Amsterdam Hospital for any comments he might wish to make. There has been no response.
