Berbice Bridge construction to commence by yearend

NEW AMSTERDAM -- CONSTRUCTION of the Berbice River Bridge is likely to commence by this yearend.
So says Prime Minister Samuel Hinds.
The Prime Minister, in Berbice Wednesday for a one-day visit, said at a news conference at State House here that government is putting the necessary financial measures in place to ensure the start of work on the bridge across the Berbice River.
He anticipates that construction will commence by year-end, saying the project remains at the top of government's agenda.
