Ramsammy 'doing fine and eating'

Minister of Health, Dr Leslie Ramsammy, is expected to leave the Stony Brook University Hospital, New York soon according to his son, Shaun.
Ramsammy underwent triple bypass surgery on New Year's Day, the second for the 54-year-old minister.
The minister's son said yesterday that his father was "doing fine, recovering well and eating."
Asked if his father is expected back in Guyana soon, Shaun could not say as he had not spoken to his father about whether he would recuperate in Guyana or in the US.
In his absence Public Service Minister, Dr Jennifer Westford is performing Ramsmamy's duties from her ministry.
