The case against the persons charged with smuggling cocaine in a consignment of timber from Georgetown to Felixstowe came up in Cardiff Crown Court on December 12, 2003 and the defendants appeared in court.

It was stated that the trial is expected to last three months. Some of the lawyers said that they would not have been prepared for the trial until the beginning of September, but the judge fixed a provisional date for June 7, 2004.
