Guyana's first home match of the 2004 Carib Beer Cricket Tournament against the Leewards Islands will now be played at the Enmore ground, East Coast Demerara.

According to a Guyana Cricket Board release, the decision was taken to shift the venue from the Hampton Court ground, Essequibo, to Enmore because of the extended period of rainfall in that county.

The weather has affected the preparation of the Hampton Court ground the release pointed out.

The match is billed for January 30. The release also stated that in the interest of the cricketing public in Essequibo, the GCB plans to make arrangements for one of the remaining home matches to be played at the Hampton Court ground.
