Assailants in Princes St drive-by shooting still at large

Police are yet to arrest the assailants in the drive-by shooting Tuesday evening which left a 53-year-old man injured.

Albert Vaughn was riddled with bullets when a gunman in a white car opened fire on him while he was in conversation with friends on Princes and Adelaide streets.

Vaughn of Lot 2 D'Urban Street, Lodge was up to yesterday still a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital receiving medical attention for gun wounds to his stomach, right hand and right leg.

Around 6:25 pm on Tuesday, Vaughn was standing on the street when a white car with two men pulled up and one of them shot him before the car drove away.

The police had recovered the car the said evening but are still searching for the assailants.

Vaughn told the police that after shooting him the gunman said that he would finish him off at the hospital.

His injured limbs have been bandaged and the bullets removed, according to a source at the hospital.
