Two weeks to Winfer Gardens opening

Winfer Gardens Primary School will be ready by the second week in February, the Ministry of Education said.
Permanent Secretary, Ganga Persaud, is quoted in a Government Information Agency (GINA) release as saying that the ministry regrets the delay in repairing the school. He assured parents and teachers that the school would be complete by the first week in February and ready for occupation by the second week.
Due to some additional requests made by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) along with tardiness on the part of contractors, construction work on the school was delayed, said GINA.
On Friday students and parents protested outside the Ministry of Education over the delay.
