Guyanese Raul Frank secured his second victory of a come-back career when he decisioned Reggie Stricklin in a eight-round catchweight contest held in Indiana on January 30.
Frank described his opponent as big, strong and a survivor who taught him a few tricks during the fight. "He was very experienced.
This guy has over 300 fights. I think that he has the most fights in professional boxing."
Frank, who now fights as a junior middleweight, was originally scheduled to fight some one else who pulled out at the eleventh hour making way for Stricklin.
"He weighed in at 166 pounds while I was 157. It was a good tune up fight. It was good to be in the ring with someone who could punch and take back one. He was big, strong and a survivor. I hurt him a couple of times but he would always come back fouling."
Frank said that his career is set to take off in May when he is scheduled to fight for the Latin American junior middleweight title in Jamaica.
"A victory in that fight will put me in the top 10 in the world. I only think about the guys in the top 10. Maybe later in the year I should be in line for another world title crack."
Frank fought a losing battle against Vernon `The Viper' Forrest in May 2001 for the vacant IBF welterweight title.
