General Equipment golf tees-off today

Local golfers will tee-off for the first ever General Equipment-sponsored Golf Tournament today at the Lusignan Golf Course, beginning at 12.30 pm.
According to a release from the Lusignan Golf Club, the course's fairways are in excellent condition and with the recent rainfall on Thursday and yesterday, the conditions on the greens should be almost perfect for this tournament. However, some low scores should be the order of the day.
The current on form players include Patrick Prashad, Lester Alvis, Raj Sankar, Fazil Haniff, Joan Fields and Christine Sookram.
All members are invited to participate.
Interested players are asked to be present by 12.15 pm.
The presentation of prizes to the respective winners will be done by executives of General Equipment.
